Does anyone know if there are any casinos around the Port Everglades area. Any hotels associated with one? Pre-cruise stay and looking for something to do

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino. 15 minutes from the Port, very nice pool, night clubs, casino . . . this place has everything.

Three that I know of. Seminole Hard Rock Hotel, Mardi Gras Casino and Gulfstream Park.

Mardi Gras I beleive is part of a dog racing track, and it's on the right as you go south on US 1, about 5 miles south of the airport. Gulfstream is another couple miles south, on the left. The Hard Rock is a few miles west of the airport, and south of Griffin Rd (which runs along the south perimeter of the airport.)

Went to Hard Rock a few years ago - small and CROWDED, PACKED. Mr Wolf could never get a table and I played a few slots when I could find an open one I actually liked. Slots were tight and I don't remember hearing a whole lot of machines paying either. It was nice, wasn't gross or anything but not a casino experience I care to repeat.

Gulfstream is horses, Mardi Gras is dogs, and both have slots, poker, and electronic table games. Glad I posted links so I could double check again LOL.

Close...

Gulfstream has horses (in season), OTB (Off Track Betting), slots, live poker and fake blackjack.

Mardi Gras has dogs (in season), OTB, slots, live poker, and fake blackjack

Hard Rock has slots, live poker, real blackjack, and some table card games like 3 card poker, spanish 21, Let It Ride, etc.

What is fake blackjack? It either has a live dealer or a virtual one. Its just a slot machine, it doesn't matter how you play, the computer decides before it plays the cards if you won or not. So you could hit on 20 and if the computer decided you won you would get an Ace. You could stay on 12 and the machine will make the dealer bust if it was your turn to win. The odds at fake blackjack are no better than the tight slots found in Miami.

Love Isle I in Pompano, a quick car ride, there within minutes. Immaculate, well attended, great decor , resturants, great bars, and SMOKE FREE...tons of poker tables..SMOKE FREE..plus the harness racing is fun to watc and lots of live simulcast of other things from all over the country you can bet on..

We went to Coconut Creek last week..old machines, many broken down, not so clean or attended to, driinks more $$$ and we smelt like a bowling alley when we left..definately not smoke free. The Gourmet Food Truck fair was fun, though!

Hard Rock..tourist trap, overpriced hotel and restaurants..

My opinions

there is also Isle of Capri race track and casino in pompano beach. pretty close to the port. happy cruzin, amelia
