MTemple212 Posted August 25, 2012 #26 Share Posted August 25, 2012 Thank you to everyone who has posted on this thread. We are "Princess people" really - have elite status and doing our first Celebrity this October on the Solstice. We have just booked 3 B2B on the Constellation next June - Baltic, Arctic Circle and Norway and after reading these posts I am even more excited. Beryl Dear Kobecat, Your name sounds familar...were you on the Ruby TA in Oct? Anyway, we did the Star Princess in the Baltics back in 2006 and have also done the Connie. We really enjoyed both cruises and ships but the Connie by far was less crowded!! It carries approx 1k less passengers than does the Princess ships in general. And the difference in the size of ships are negligible.
USVI-4-me Posted August 25, 2012 #27 Share Posted August 25, 2012 The Emerald Princess buffet area seems more congested than those on the M-Class (Constellation) ships. But the seating areas are just as nicely laid out. Princess has more places for evening entertainment so a seat in the theater is not essential to an evening of entertainment. We enjoy the choice of entertainment areas and specialty dining on Emerald. Both ships have nice promenades. Princess offers washers/dryers for passengers, in room mini-refrigerators, and larger closet space. Constellation has the fabulous T-Pool (Thallasotherapy), Emerald has Muts (movies). It's a toss up. The ports would be the deciding factor. -Marisa

Connie is different from the S-Class, both have their plusses, but Connie has a long promenade and many seats indoors where you can view the sea while enjoying entertainment and/or get bar service with a view of public rooms, people, and the sea. Bon Voyage! -Marisa
