wdazew Posted May 23, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 23, 2012 I want my PVP. I thought I did everything right, checked my fares at various times, finally found a lower price, printed the screen as my back up - tried calling my PVP (who is awesome) she is on v-k. OK I know she deserves a break BUT. Spoke with another PVP gave her all the info and get the song and dance that http://www.carnival.com/BookingEngine/FareViewer still has to have the taxes etc etc added on - tried for 5 minutes to explain that the BASE price is lower no go - URGH All the other times I checked http://www.carnival.com/BookingEngine/FareViewer the base price was matching my current price. What's the use of using the fareviewer . . .

PopeSailin Posted May 23, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 23, 2012 I'll 2nd that. Put in for the price drop yourself. A lot less hassle. Here is the link for ya. http://www.carnival.com/cms/requestforms/CCLEarlySaverForm.aspx
firefly333 Posted May 23, 2012 #4 Share Posted May 23, 2012 If you booked ES, then you put in via the internet. If they made a mistake, all you do is reply to the email that denied the price match with the date and time of the price, the type of rate etc. I never had a problem replying to the email .. no need to be calling folks. PVPs do not do the ES price drops, another dept. reply to the email you got.

What's the use of using the fareviewer . . . You might want to check to see if the Govt Fees & Taxes have increased over what you originally booked. The PVP may have been trying to tell you that the increase in Govt Fees & Taxes (that they now charge you if/when you change your booking or apply for Price adjustment) may be larger than your price-drop, thus wiping it out. If that's not the case, go with firefly333's suggestion. ken
jmcancruise Posted May 23, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 23, 2012 Another possible issue is that if you booked before the new tipping rate was applied that they will adjust that if you apply for a price drop. I got caught by that one.
maldenmusic Posted May 23, 2012 #7 Share Posted May 23, 2012 Always do it yourself. And if they deny it, just resubmit!
