We are going to take three kids (15-19 yrs old) on (Royal Carribean) cruise to Bermuda, from NJ and will spend 2 days at Kings Wharf, Bermuda. Looking for your suggestions on Shore Excursions and the recommandations on the activities with those private tour companies. Thanks in advance

several to choose from, there is a snorkel park right by the dock.

Horseshoe Bay is the most popular beach (via bus, you can buy a 2 day bus/ferry pass that will take you everywhere).

I would take the ferry to Hamilton, nice ride and from there you can shop or continue on to St George.

Tobacco Bay is a very nice beach at St George, very calm and protected water with rock formations and you can see fish without snorkeling. St George is the old town and well worth a walk through.

There are caves to see and other beaches to enjoy. What interests do you have?

You have to think outside the box. You can buy a 2 day bus/ferry pass for $20 and get all over the island. Don't plan on spending your time at the Dockyard area. Explore. Read the posts on this board and there are lots of suggestions and directions on how to get to great places in Bermuda.

Forgot to mention you should check the Bermuda forum on tripadvisor.com, there are several current posts from cruisers and land-based tourists with similar questions.

We're spending a week on the south shore in June, our previous visit was on a cruise and we look forward to our return. The bus and ferry system is excellent so take advantage and get to the famous beaches and to St George. You csn buy your pass right by the pier.

The Frog & Onion is a great pub near the dock too. There is a nighttime snorkel tour that is very popular, and you ave to try the Rum Swizzle and Dark and Stormy drinks at the Swizzle Inn south.

Horseshoe is the most popular beach, but a 10 minute walk along the sandy path will bring you to quieter Warwick/Long Bay and Jobson's Cove. Check the current posts on TA...
