Did anyone get sick..

On the May 13 Freedom cruise? I hope no one else got sick, but we were delayed boarding for this cruise because people were sick with norovirus on the cruise before ours. They cleaned the whole ship like crazy the whole time we were on the cruise. Just hoping its under control, but haven't heard a thing.

I hope it is finally okay. I wouldn't want to cruise knowing there was noro-virus before I cruised. I think knowing this, I would just cancel. But that's me.

Don't you think cancelling is an extreme reaction? I'll be on the Freedom one week from tomorrow and I'm not concerned about it. If anything, I think the ship may actually be cleaner now than it was before! Here is an interesting article on norovirus: http://www.cruisecritic.com/articles.cfm?ID=71

I agree, canceling is a bit extreme. We found out that it was on the ship 2 days before we sailed, and I have to admit, I did freak out a bit. With that said, I did look up norovirus on the CDC website and talked to a bunch of people and that did help me to relax. Also, seeing all the cleaning that the crew was doing while on the ship the whole week helped. From the number of post's on this thread, I'm guessing that the outbreak has been cleared up and people on future cruises should be fine.
