Grand Princess 2nd June

Hi All

Princess Cruises' Grand Princess will have a brass band send-off as its sails for Scandinavia from Southampton on June 2, with British comedians and singers onboard, a ‘British Invasion' production show, and royal-themed movies including The Queen and The King's Speech showing, as well as British-themed trivia pub quizzes and even a children's party. Passengers will be issued with union jack flags and hats and there will be a huge party on deck at which the national anthem will be sung and strawberries and cream and Pimms served, as well as cider and British beers. Royal historian Janet Campbell will give lectures. The Captain will raise a champagne toast to the Queen, and British pub food will be served at lunchtime on every sea day during the voyage, as well as a gala dinner one night with a special dessert dedicated to the Queen. A giant Jubilee cake will also be displayed in the Atrium.

Looks like could be an interesting cruise,

no chance of Haggis for diner or Braveheart being shown on MUTs

- Shogun,

vjw1218 is part of the lidorose group. We can't make it to the informal meet, but at least the two of us (the CC members) will try for the meet and greet. Your post about the Jubilee celebrations has made me even more excited for this cruise - and that's hard to do! Thanks for all your hard work and for keeping us informed!

Hi There

If there is a strike most likely be a sea day,

reasons being port berths get booked upyears in advance,

and if its customs that are on strike we will not be able to dock,
