Hand Carved Walking Sticks in Bahamas

hubby wants a hand carved walking stick from the Bahamas. Anyone know where we can get one in Nassau or Freeport. Would prefer to watch them actually carve something to know it's the real thing.....straw market tends to be mfgd items from China :mad::mad:

In Freeport market right where ship docks. You can watch the guy carve them.

My DH has one we got in Nassau. The stall is in the straw market right by Senor Frog. There are people carving items there. I can't guarantee it was carved by them, but my Dh likes it. It has a green parrot on the top. We've had it a couple of years, so I don't remember how much we paid.

Do they do canes too? Would love to get something like that for my dad. We never know what to get him.

DONDON55 - I'm afraid I can't offer any help with the walking sticks! I hope you were able to locate one... I was actually wondering if you could help me though.

 

I saw on an old Miracle thread that you guys stayed in cabin 4125. We have that same cabin booked on the Spirit (Alaska) in a few weeks. Do you by any chance have any cabin pictures? Or can you tell me HOW much obstructed? Obstructed view just isn't specific enough for me :D! Sorry for hijacking your thread...couldn't figure out how to email you directly! Thanks for your help!!!
