spritz81 Posted May 29, 2012 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2012 Hi, Booking our first cruise on carnival spirit and have a choice of 2 cabins. Cabin 5130 (directly above Pharaoh's palace main lounge) or Cabin 8151 (directly under pool deck). Which do you think would be better? thanks
Slats86 Posted May 29, 2012 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2012 Hi,Booking our first cruise on carnival spirit and have a choice of 2 cabins. Cabin 5130 (directly above Pharaoh's palace main lounge) or Cabin 8151 (directly under pool deck). Which do you think would be better? thanks I'm going to be in 8172 for the Repositioning to Sydney. When do you cruise? I think that the extended balcony on Deck 8 would be better but thats just my opinion
Paul Bogle Posted May 29, 2012 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2012 Both cabins accommodate four passengers. are you sailing with children? If you are I would recommend deck five. Your cabin is over the circular stairwell just outside the lounge so noise should not be an issue when you will be sleeping. This cabin is also conveniently located to the kids clubs and arcade forward. I could be off base with the kids, just guessing.
spritz81 Posted May 29, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted May 29, 2012 yes, we are travelling with our 2 kids. Just not sure which cabin would be best as I'm worried about the noise. Thanks for the replies.
peacebeach Posted May 29, 2012 #5 Share Posted May 29, 2012 Would you be able to hear pool chairs being set up in the morning on deck 8? Not a deal breaker, but given two equal choices..
photojunkieEMT Posted May 29, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 29, 2012 If you deal with noise outside of the cabin my guess would be the 8th deck room would be a bigger issue. My pick, deck 5. If you go to shows you can easily go down when deck and into the upper level of the auditorium and won't have to worry about elevators afterward since go up one flight of steps and you are back. gusandgidgetsmom Posted May 29, 2012 #7 Share Posted May 29, 2012 We sailed the spirit last year on deck 8. We were in the back last room on port side. We were not bothered by noise. Loved the cabin OS.
