OP--thanks so much for the info! We are leaving on the 6/17 Bermuda cruise, traveling with school age children.

 

We are trying to decide on the Devil's Isle cruise trip in Bermuda, and appreciate your info on it. Do you think it would be suitable for kids age 8-10 who are good swimmers? Did you happen to notice if they had flotation devices available for snorkeling? It sounds like a pretty tame cruise--they just take you around the small inlets of the island?

 

We'd appreciate any additional info you could provide.

We did the cruise excursion to Devil's Isle. The boat docks in an area that allows you to go down a few steps into waist deep water. You could walk to a small beach or you could snorkel out to the reefs which is deeper water. We got a foam noodle to help keep us floating while we snorkeled. There were a few smaller children on the boat and they seemed to be having a good time. There was a current were the boat was going to dock so he took us to a safer area. People were snorkeling, kayaking and sitting on the beach.

I have to say this was a great trip!!! As long as you are willing to swim out a bit you will see lots of fish. You really need to swim to the reef since the fish seemed to hide there.
