hi my friend is going on the sky boat this sunday she wants to bring on board 2 bottles of wine.. but was told she has to pay a cork fee even if she will keep it in her room is this true? ... do they not charge only if you bring bottles to table?

No matter where she drinks the wine there is a 15.00 per bottle 750 ml charge. During check in she will be directed to a table & once the charge is put on her account they will put a sticker on it & she will be able to drink it whenever.

ok thank you.. cause ive been on carnival and royal and they never charge for a corkage fee to bring on board... only if you bring the bottle to your table they charge to open it.... thank you for your help... do they charge you to bring water and soda too???

No, those are free to bring on.

Corkage fee does not mean "to remove cork from bottle" but rather a term used for a service charge or fee. It does not really have much of anything to do with the service offered, but more the profit lost on that bottle.

 

There is not charge of any kind to take soda or water on board. But the profit from those things would not be a great loss, like wine would be.
