Is it true?

Why do you need a day pass? The beaches are public...and there are chair/umbrella rentals everywhere. No need to pay a hotel to go to the beach!

Why do you insist on repeatedly providing this incorrect information?

Yes, the beaches are public, but if you want the use of a chair, umbrella, shower etc...you have to either go to a beach club and pay for them or be a guest/day pass guest at a hotel or condo. Simple as that.

You are free to plop down with a towel anywhere withing 3 metres/10 feet of the high tide mark on the beach, but using the facilities/amenities of private property without arrangements is not only illegal, but rather uncouth. Behaviour like that is what gives cruisers a bad name on many islands. Just my two pence.

Where do I find out if Marriott still does the day pass thing. The only reason I know about it is from reading it on CC.

As much as I would like to believe what I am reading on CC - actually talking to someone at the Marriott to get pricing etc. would confirm things for me.

Thanks,

Pretty sure if you spoke directly with the Marriott and they stated they no longer offer them, I'd say it's a pretty good bet that they don't.

Check out Royals Palms, Calico Jacks, and Tiki Beach if you want to rent chairs and have food/drink options. I don't believe any are "all-inclusive" though.
