We went on 5/25 with Coral Breeze to do their Shark Ray Alley excursion. We had an absolute blast! We would highly recommend this trip to anyone who is thinking about snorkeling. If we ever make it back to Belize, we'll book through them again.

We have only a couple pics. We are waiting for the rest to come back from the underwater camera.

I used Coral Breeze last year while on the Paradise. We are going again this year, this time with my sister and her family. I've booked Coral Breeze again. They are terrific and we all can't wait for our 6/27 Paradise cruise.

Hey, I was also on that excursion on the 25th!! I was with my husband and parents. My mom snorkeled for the first time and had an absolute blast!! What a wonderful trip. But when the engine on the boat went out, I thought, oh no. But it was fixed sooo fast

I also have pictures of this excursion just click here. Scroll down towards the bottom.

 • 1 month later...
We just returned from our vacation and did this tour in Belize for the second time. This is one of the best excursions we have ever done.
The snorkeling is outstanding, the food very good, and the island a slice of paradise. This time we rented golf carts to see more of the island. That was really fun. We did go on the Coral Breeze boat which is fully covered and really fast. Our guides were very nice and attentive. We did ship tours in other ports and you just don't get the same attention (and less crowds) as you do with private tour companies.
There was no problems with the port time as we had plenty of time to meet the tour start time and we arrived back in plenty of time to shop and return to the ship. Some in our group did Cave Tubing with Coral Breeze and loved that as well.
If you are snorkeling or Cave Tubing in Belize, I would highly recommend Coral Breeze. There were 8 of us in all, so it would be 16 thumbs up from us ;)

I am so glad to read good things about Coral Breeze as I a have read not so good things. It seems like they always have engine trouble on their boats. We have a group of 8. My husband would like to scuba so we thought that this would be a great company since he can scuba, some can snorkle with the sharks and others can go to Cay Caulker and we can all be together for lunch and the afternoon. What is there to do at Cay Caulker?? I know some in our group would like to go shopping and I was wondering if there are any stores there.

Our thumbs are up too. Coral Breeze is a class operation. Good communications when setting up the tour with them, easy to work with, and a fantastic tour. We booked early to take advantage of their discounts, but found out when we were there that we were lucky we did or we would have missed out. These guys operate a great tour. If you use them, tell them the Rum Punch lady said hi. I'm sure they will remember me by that (you had to be there).

llund, I'm not sure when your cruise is, but if you didn't book with Coral Breeze yet, you might want to check with them. Like I said, we booked early which gave us their discount, but it also saved our space on the tour. There were a few people who were CC members but a lot of the poeple were booked by their travel agents. I wish my agent would have done this for me...it would have saved the research time. We asked them about their engine problems that we read about. They said it was resolved and it obviously was since we were on their boat. Apparently the other boats used for tours in Belize aren't as nice or even that readily available. I guess the bottom line is that they showed us the best time of our vacation. I just don't want you to wait too long an miss out. Even if your friends are undecided, book yourself and add them later if you can. Just a thought.
Have fun.

Did anyone on your boat just do the water taxi to caye caulker for 20.00. That is all we want to do. I just found out about them, their boat looks better than the local water taxi. I just hope we get a covered boat. Does the boat take you right back to your ship when you are done with the tour?

We loved the trip with Coral Breeze! I think I've read two items of "engine problems" that were refunded, and with daily trips all days throughout the year, that's a pretty good track record! They leave once in the morning with the tour group to taxi those to Caye Caulker, turn in our lunch choices, then pick you up after lunch to go back to the dock when your ship is. Depending on the ship you can be dropped at your ship, but I think all cruise lines have different policies, and sometimes varies ship to ship. The Enchantment RCCL did allow us to go directly to the ship. I really didn't explore Caye Caulker too much though our husbands did a golf cart tour to a beach and throughout the island. I don't there was very much to do right there on Caye Caulker.

Two years ago we were going to do the ferry, but dh had a migraine. We gave 4 other Cruisecritics the info I'd printed from the web. They were able to do it without a problem and really enjoyed it.

Question about Coral Breeze -
Is the excursion about which everyone is speaking $69 per adt. and $49 per chd.? It sounds good, but it'd cost us $310 to take our 3 kids. Is is really worth that compared to cave tubing for $275?

Travelitis, that is the tour. It is worth every penny. They offer discounts for larger groups and for early booking so you may be able to get the price down. We would not hesitate doing this again. This was a day filled with memories and we feel like we left Belize with a real appreciation for the country and its culture. They really created a tour that is different than others. It is one of those things were you have to be there to know what I mean, but you don't feel like a tourist. They make you feel really comfortable. You're not around all of the crowds and they provide such a nice personal touch. Like I said, it is just different than other tours.

Travel, have your kids snorkeled before? There truly is a learning curve the first time you plop into the water. My husband have done it several times and felt comfortable each time but only after a few minutes to tell yourself to relax and enjoy and forget that you're inhaling some water at first! So if your kids are great in the water, have snorkeled, I think they will thoroughly enjoy every minute. Otherwise they might take a while to get used to the idea of how to snorkel, what feels right, etc. The cave tubing would be a for sure deal.....I've heard great things about that trip!!!

Something about plopping into the water right after the Coral Breeze group has tossed a bunch of chum into the water to draw the (harmless) sharks....sure glad I wasn't the FIRST one in the water...not sure I could have jumped in!!!
