shellgoodman Posted June 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 3, 2012 I am confused about another thread regarding the Galveston port and alcohol (i.e. some talk about coronas and coolers). If I pre-order my vodka and tequila for the cabin, is it going to be in there on embarkation day? Did I hear that the alcohol won't be delivered til the first day at sea due to some law? If that's the case, I probably won't go thru BV this year.
am588 Posted June 3, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 3, 2012 I ordered a fruit and wine basket, and it was delivered that night right when we left port
CoCoNut Willie Posted June 3, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 3, 2012 Mine was in the room around 6pm on sailaway day. Texas law doesn't allow liquor sales on Sunday, so it can't be delivered until out of state waters.

Guess I'm bringing a roadie while my husband drives the whole way to Galveston! Kidding aside, I just might pass on the BV department this year and see what my bar bill looks like at the end.
