2 weeks til Week Tropique - any pointers??

Hi,

 

Only 2 weeks til we head off to Cairns on the Pacific Sun. Yay!! We are a family of four with 2 teenagers. Have cruised a few times before but would love to hear any advice/tips/pointers that anyone can give us re this particular cruise. Have always got amazing info from CC before. Thanks! :)

Does this cruise do an overnight at Cairns or one night Cairns one night Port Douglas.

Ours did the overnight in Cairns so we hired a car from midday to midday, we went for a drive into the hills the first afternoon, then parked overnight next to the ship for $3, next morning we went for a drive up the coast. Can't remember the hire company but if you are interested I'll find it. They picked us up from the ship and also returned us.

Yes it is overnight. Thinking of quad biking at kuranda on first afternoon. Then maybe hire a car for the second day - really not sure! Kids live fairly adventurous things.

Green Island is a waste of a day! Quad biking is a much better option.

I agree, I didn't think Green Island was all that good. Next time I would rather do the outer reef excursion.
