Rare ggo85 Posted June 10, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 10, 2012 Just got off FOS where they auctioned off dinner at the Captain's Table (with the Captain, of course) to benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Lots of other things were auctioned as well, including a bridge tour, an engine room tour, a chance to blow the ship's horn, a chance to make the "noon announcement from the bridge," and a few others I've forgotten. The auction was held the first formal night (second night at sea) at the beginning of each major production show -- so there were two chances to "win" each item. The CD said auctions would be held during the month of June to benefit Make-A-Wish. Obviously, the above is subject to change. I have no idea if other ships are doing auctions and/or what they might be offering. But, if you're booked on FOS this month, look out for the above opportunities if you're interested. What a fun idea, I would love to join in on one of these auctions. Just curious as to the range the various items sold for!
