DOH!!!! Villefranche not Toulon!!!!!!!

Anyone have an approximate time it will take us to get off the ship?

We are on Liberty next week and tender in Villefranche arrive at 7am.

We are only gold C&aA and non-suite. (not sure if that makes a difference or not);)

Thanks so much!!!!1

Ha ha ha ......thought that was it lol

We had to queue for about 20 mins...and some people tried to push in front !!...nightmare !

Either very early or let the rush get away.....she is such a big ship with sooo many people it is a bit like a cattle market !! trying to get off !!

Best of luck !.....but Villefranche is lovely and the train station for Monaco is really easy to do yourself...about 6 euros return.

if you are in Villefranche, the local authority supply the tenders which are well organized.

time depends on weather? but quickly as the tenders are so big.

enjoy,

status means nothing

We were there on Brillance last year and Mariner this year and both times they issued tickets from Guest relations. When your number was called you could go to the tender area. I think by about 10.30 most people were off and tickets were no longer required.

We were'nt given tickets last year on Liberty just told were to join the queue ( which was doubled back on itself and up the staircase !!!!

The crew had to call out for any family groups and we were taken down thro crew quarters to a crew tender to try and ease the numbers in the corridors !!!..

All great fun seeing the crew area !!!!

We were on Liberty 2 weeks ago and tendered into Cannes. We walked off the ship at 10.20 am and there were no queues. The public announcements had said that the queues would be gone by 11. They did not issue tickets and it all seemed very well organised.

Hi We were on the Brilliance of the Seas 2 years ago and visited Villefrance. We had to queue for around 20 minutes to get into the tender and then it took about 8 minutes to get to shore. There is a good beach at Villefrance .

I know the OP already sailed, but we were on the Liberty of the Seas this past Monday in Villefranche, and we went down to disembark at 7:30 am, anticipating a long line. There was no line! We walked right on to the tender boat and were on shore in about 10 minutes.

When we were in Villefranche last June with Celebrity, there were some local shuttle tenders hired that helped speed the process. Below is one of the view for how this scenic and interesting harbor looks. Very charming and interesting!!

Villefranche sur Mer is set in one of the world's most beautiful bays. The original Old Town is at the base of a natural amphitheater of mountains and terraced hills. The views are wonderful and it is easy to see why so many people fall in love with Villefranche. The bay itself is very deep and many of the Mediterranean's largest cruise ships stop in the bay. Nearby are Mount Boron, which looks down over the bay from the west; Nice to the west and St. Jean Cap Ferrat, Beaulieu sur Mer, Eze Village and Eze Bord de Mer to the east.

You can see more details on this port and other places in the Med from my live/blog postings below. Lots to see and do in these great areas.

THANKS! Enjoy! Terry in Ohio

Did a June 7-19, 2011, Solstice cruise from Barcelona that had stops in Villefranche, ports near Pisa and Rome, Naples, Kotor, Venice and Dubrovnik. Enjoyed great weather and a wonderful trip. Dozens of wonderful visuals with key highlights, tips, comments, etc., on these postings. We are now at 89,682 views for this live/blog re-cap on our first sailing with Celebrity and much on wonderful Barcelona. Check these postings and added info at:

The charm, style and beauty of Villefranche are clear in this picture of its harbor area greeting visitors as we arrived via tender from the ship.:
