Grandeur Cat F oceanviews on deck 7?? are they obstructed?

Recommended Posts

I know there were some changes on the Grandeur - I just booked a cat F oceanview on deck 7. I swear these used to be balcony cabins and the deckplan looks there is a balcony. I was thinking that maybe they have an obstruction but I called Royal Caribbean and they said no- it's just an unobstructed oceanview. Is there anything bad/weird about these cabins?

Thanks!

We were upgraded to one of these new OV cabins on deck 8, which used to be the Crown & Anchor study. I was interested to know what the window would look like because, from the photos after the refit, it looks the same glass facade as before , but an RCI cruise specialist just told me they will be large porthole style windows, which is a shame, as I liked the idea of a floor to ceiling window!

On the Rhapsody, . . . what you were thinking first is exactly what they did. They left the floor to ceiling window and provided drapery. They also located the bed forward (not with the headboard against the window), . . . with the sitting area next to the window. You can see it on the very last photo on the very last page here, . . .

From the new photos for Grandeur, it appears the same from the outside. We have one booked on the June 22 cruise, so will try to post an update when we return. For now, I am assuming we will get what it looks like in the photo above - a room with a very nice view!!!. :)

Hi there. We sail on 26th August and would really appreciate any photos of the ship. Have a great time! Thank you.
