Can Kids wander out of Kids Crew?

Recommended Posts

I'm new to cruising with kids. On the NCL Sun are kids allowed to walk out of the kids area on their own or is their a check-in and check-out process? My kids are 6 and 9.

I ask because a neighbor of ours always cruises on HAL and says that she's seen kids wander out of their kids club area on their own with no adult at the door of the kids club area to stop them. Furthermore, she's seen kids sitting in the hall outside the kids club area crying. Typically passengers would see this and escort them back to the kids club area.

Does this happen on NCL too?

I just returned from the Star. My 9 yr. old loved the kids crew program and really had a good time. He was required to have me sign him in and sign him out. He wore a blue wristband with his name, cabin, and muster station on it whenever he was checked in and then would have to take it off when he left. I felt it was very organized and safe. The counselors were great with the kids!
