Rare John Bull Posted June 15, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 15, 2012 For that awkward journey Heathrow to Harwich, a new Nat Express coach route now goes between Heathrow and Colchester, every two hours. http://www.nationalexpress.com/coach/airport/london-heathrow-airport.aspx This then requires onward travel from Colchester to Harwich, about 20 miles, by taxi or by train. Colchester train station is a 2 mile/10 min/£6 taxi hop from the coach station, and the train journey involves one change of train, but the station in Harwich (Harwich International) is right alongside the ship. http://www.nationalrail.co.uk/ Total cost by coach & train about £23 pp, total journey time 3hrs plus, depending on connection times. Not ideal, but cheaper & might be easier than going via & across central London. JB :)

Rare John Bull Posted June 15, 2012 Author #3 Share Posted June 15, 2012 Love the title JB,"....towards Harwich"! Did give me a chuckle:D Simon Ok, OK, Simon. Yes, mebbe it sounds like it goes as far as it can before the coach expires or the driver gets lost. In reality of course that's not the case. Its as close to Harwich as the drivers dare :D JB :)
