Are there plenty of taxis at the ferry area to De Palm Island and at Eagle Beach? We want to go to De Palm untill about 4 then head to Eagle Beach. We will be in port till 10. Would there be a driver we meet at the port that would work with us on this? Thanks!

Taxi from cruise terminal to De Palm Island Ferry Terminal- yes, about $25

Taxi from De Palm De Palm Island Ferry Terminal to Eagle beach- no, about $30

Taxi from Eagle beach to cruise terminal- $10

You could most likely be able to ask a De Palm employee to phone a taxi for you to be met at the Ferry Terminal for your ride to Eagle beach or pre-arrange for your taxi from the original drop off to come back for you. You would need to find a driver who would be willing to do this.

Total taxi fare for up to 5 people- $65 add an additional $3 for each leg on Sunday or holiday.

The other alternative, assuming your ship offers De Palm Island as a shore excursion, book it through the ship which will include transportation and then when you are back at the ship after De Palm Island, just take a taxi from the cruise terminal to Eagle beach which would run $10 each way. Again that is for a maximum of 5 people with an additional charge of $3 each way on a Sunday or holiday.

Thanks so much. Was hoping you would see this thread. Aruba should compensate you for all your knowledge of their island! :D

Think we are going to give up a few hours at De Palm for the security of transportation by booking the ship excursion. We do have 5 people ;) and dont feel as worried about the Eagle Beach transportation. Atleast we hope so. Ha.

Once again, thanks so much.

Thanks for your kind words. :o Imo, the ship excursion is probably the best plan. :)

When you return, let us know how De Palm Island was. They recently turned over their food and beverage service to a new contractor and from what I understand it is terrific. :)

Thats what we think we will do. Like safe!!

We will return and tell all about De Palm. We are looking forward to everything they offer. If they have nuggets for the kiddos and 'mommy drinks' for the adults it shall be all good. ;)

We have enjoyed going to DePalm Island many times. Wonderful place to easily see Blue Parrot Fish with no effort and lots of chairs in either the sun or shade. The beach area is not so good but extremely easy to walk down real stairs to get into the waist level water at the other section. All alcohol/other drinks are included in the price. Food  is too ... maybe not the best but it's OK. We've always had a good time there. :)

The price thru Princess on our upcoming in January is $75 pp for 4 1/2 hours. Unfortunately, it leaves a 7:45 AM. NO WAY. We'll have our own fun elsewhere.

We are back from De Palm. We did go to both De Palm and Eagle beach. Actually even went to Palm beach for Senor Frogs. Was our favorite port by far. Thank you Arubalisa for your help. We took the RC excursion to De Palm and as soon as we got back to port an easy taxi to Eagle Beach. Very beautiful.

De Palm was so worth it. We had a blast on the bannana boats. They try making you fall off the boat. Our first trip out our daughter did not fall. But the second trip they made sure she did. I would make the gesture for hang loose with the boaters laughing. So much fun. The snacks we ate there were really good. You can buy some fish food and the fish will swarm all over you.

Would we go back to De Palm again? YES! So much to do for our family and we did not get to do it all.
