Booking while onboard for someone else

I did a search, but most of the threads that came up were a few years old, so I thought I would ask the question again to get an updated answer...can I book for another family while I am onboard the ship even if I am NOT going on that sailing with them to get them OBC or do I also have to be on that same sailing as well?

We have done this. We had their C&A information and had no problem.

Unfortunately we got stuck behind a guy who needed to book his entire family in at least a dozen cabin while onboard....whether they all got OBC, I don't know, but I'm pretty sure they did!
