Probably Just Dreaming...

We'll be cruising in July with three older kids. I would love to be able to put $$ on a card or account for each person in our family to use throughout the cruise. I searched info on the sign & sail cards and am still confused, but at best it looks like it's by cabin? Is there any way to pre-pay a shipboard credit for each of us?

You can "secure" your sign and sail card with either a credit card or cash. If you use credit card, you can "sign" for up to whatever amount. If you use cash, just up to the amount you deposited.

We debated whether to shut our kids' account off (they shared 1 cabin). In the end, we left a credit card for both cabins and it was fine. They really had no need to use the sign and sail card.

I know some people will put a certain amount of cash on their card to pre-pay so they do not have a bill at the end of the cruise. Personally I leave it on our credit card ~ gives us another 2-3 weeks to pay it off and keeps the $ in our account. Just my opinion :)
