Ray66 Posted June 21, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2012 She should be in St Peter Port today according to the itinerary but it looks like Cherbourg. Presumably the weather was poor this morning. http://www.cunard.co.uk/Ships/Queen-Elizabeth/Bridge-Web-Cam/
MawganTr Posted June 21, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2012 That would be disappointing, I guess if you thought you were going to visit the gorgeous island of guernsey. Just looked at their port info & it says QE 'cancelled' good old weather - it was pretty wild last night here on the south coast. safarigal Posted June 21, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 21, 2012 Yes we did indeed miss St Peter's Port, very disappointing, but are currently in Cherbourg so all is well, if not wet and windy!
capnpugwash Posted June 21, 2012 #4 Share Posted June 21, 2012 I think that I have been scheduled to call in to St Peter Port about 4 times on vairous ships in the past and have never ever made it. I imagine that the entrance to the harbour must be tight. One of these days maybe.

Mary We were on a FO last summer and we were lucky, did not even realise that not getting to Guernsey was a possibility. Heard that one of the Dance crew had been to Guernsy 16 times and had only ever been able to get off 3 or 4 times. Also had breakfast with a lady who lives in G so I asked her why she had not just boarded there and she said no way so many times including her last cruise, the previous year, it was not possible to disembark as she had arranged. Bispham Boo Posted June 21, 2012 #7 Share Posted June 21, 2012 We went last August, with P&O and even though it seemed calm out at anchor, the tender ride in was very exciting!!:D
