gingin410 Posted June 23, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2012 I read in another site that some cruise-lines allow you to take a few sodas and/or bottles of water on-board. Does Princess allow this? (Our cruise is on the Emerald Princess Aug 19-30) I drink lots of water everyday and would like to be able to take water for the cabin with me rather than paying the on-board cost. paul929207 Posted June 23, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 23, 2012 Yes, you can carry on water and soda. Even better is to drink the tap water on the ship. It is purer than most bottled water and it is FREE.
iluvcruzin Posted June 23, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 23, 2012 I bring softdrinks on every cruise regardless of the cruiseline. As for water, I've done that too but only the small ones for taking on shore excursions. I bring a water bottle. The water on the ship is desalinized and is very good. No need to bring water onboard unless it's a preference.

Yes, you can put a luggage tag on a case of water and give ot to the porters. ;)
Brickwood Posted June 23, 2012 #5 Share Posted June 23, 2012 As said by another poster, the ship's water is just fine. I like mine cold so keep a bottle or two in the fridge along with a full ice bucket.
PunkiC Posted June 23, 2012 #6 Share Posted June 23, 2012 When it's convenient, like if we are driving to the ship, I always take a case of Perrier. When it is not convenient to board a whole case, I buy several bottles in every port to supplement what they put in our fridge. We also call immediately after boarding and have them trade out all of the Coke, etc., that they give us for more Perrier. DH doesn't drink Perrier so he buys bottled water either on the ship or while we are in port.
