ComeSailWithME Posted June 25, 2012 #1 Share Posted June 25, 2012 One of the biggest suggestions for traveling with a child who is not potty trained is to pack a small inflatable pool for bathing and the pool deck. I had fully planned on buying this in Florida before the cruise so that it wouldn't take up any more space in the luggage. Well, I bought one this weekend. Banzai makes "baby's first splash pool" and it was $4.84 at Target and comes in a small box. Hardly any space at all and now I don't have to worry if the store we go to doesn't have one. Just wanted to share :)
rubygigi Posted June 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted June 26, 2012 Thanks for the info. I looked at Walmart today but they didn't have any small ones like that. This may be a dumb question, but how do you fill up the baby pool? Just dip it in the big pool our what?
cb at sea Posted June 26, 2012 #3 Share Posted June 26, 2012 You can use an ice bucket to fill...doesn't take much to allow a baby to "splash"! Empty into a floor drain or shower drain....do not just dump on the deck or into the pool! These inflatable tubs are good for bathing a "shower-phobic" baby, too! ComeSailWithME Posted June 26, 2012 Author #4 Share Posted June 26, 2012 I have also heard that if you ask the bartender or pool waiter for a pitcher to use, they will accommodate this.

dynamo33l Posted June 26, 2012 #7 Share Posted June 26, 2012 We took an inflatable bathtub I purchased on Amazon. It is rectangular in shape and fit perfectly in-between 2 deck chairs. It did not take up much room on deck or in the suitcase. My 21 month old fit in it fine, and it has little pockets for him to fill with water or toys. The pool water was very cold, we actually got a couple of cupfuls of hot water (near the coffee) to warm it up.
