Pre teen B-day on board

My daughter will be celebrating her 12th birthday on the third day of our cruise. My question is will she be able to go with the 12 to 14 year old kids group or will she have to stay in the 9 to 11 yr old group? We will be traveling with friends who have a thirteen year old and we wanted to keep them together. Thanks for any info.:)
