CAS free cruise offer question?

My husband and I both play in the casino we spend about 700+ on slots. We hardly ever come home with money. We never get any offers.

we usually get a discount. We always say.. wow how much do you need to spend to get a free cruise! LOL

on Carnival we earn 4000 points combined on a sailing to Canada. We still didnt get free offers from them as well. We get up to 25% off

I never can figure out what we are doing wrong!

It's not about how much cash you spend but how many points you earn.. Each point is $5 run-through, so with wins and reinvestments, $20 could earn you anywhere from 4 to 40 points (roughly). Are you using your CAS card in every machine? What is your points balance at the end of the cruise? I am always comped by CAS, usually in a mini suite (used to be suites grrrrrr) and average about 7-8000 points in a week (for me this ends up costing me roughy $5000-7000, yeah, the odds are awful on ships) with hubby earning about 2500-3000 himself (for which he was given a 17% discount on his own cabin on our last Baltic sailing). I have heard of people getting invites for these "special" sailings for as little as 2500 points, although hubby has never received any, only me. Make sure you use your card every time you play and check your points balance at the end of the cruise, especially for OBC.

You may not be doing anything wrong. Can't speak for other cruise lines, but NCL's CAS seems to work different parts of the country (in conjunction with different land casinos) at different times. I sometimes think they are told to concentrate on one ship or one port, perhaps due to that ship not making it's target income.

In any case, we're regular NCL cruisers, all CAS cruises through Harrah's, and we can go months with no offers when others are getting them...then all at once we get a bunch of offers.

We also find that our offers tail off once we've booked on a cruise.
