snorkel at Greek Islands?

Hi- we will do the Greek Islands Cruise with NCL and will get to Corfu, Mykonos, Santorini, Katakolon. We would like to snorkel if it is not too much out of the way and if it is worth going there.

Who can help with places to snorkel? Thank you for any tips!

Did you try posting on the Greek board? I've been to Rhodes and investigated diving/snorkeling. I heard there wasn't much to see for diving -- the area is considered historical (protected) and there aren't any reefs, just ancient pottery and such at deep levels. I was going to snorkel at Rhodes, but took too much time seeing the ancient ruins. :(

I do encourage you to take some beach time, on our 12 day trip, I only got wet to my ankles once in the Meditteranean! We got "ruined out" seeing all the ruins, castles, etc. I regretted not doing the beach in Rhodes.

Thank you for your answer. We have been to Rhodes twice and snorkeled a bit. Not that much to see but for our son it was the first time and so he appreciated the fish he saw.

Now I am searching for Corfu, Santorin and Katakolon.

No ruins for us - had enough of that, too.
