Martinique vs Tortola

Planning a cruise likely on Jewel of the Seas. We much prefer the Southern Carribean route and are looking at options. Jewel has two routes that are slightly different then those we've already been on. One route includes Tortola and the other includes Martinique. Any thoughts on these two islands, the pros and cons of each?

Have been to both twice. Tortola is very similar to the US Virgin islands. Martinique is very exotic. We have done both the north side and the south side. The north is lush mountains and rain forest. The south is beautiful hilly coastal villages. It rates up there with Hawaii. Just do not go and spend the day in port, as Fort de France is a large, busy city.
