We sailed the Dream last week. We had cabin 9404. There was a slight noise from the funnel and an occasional bump. After the first day, we didn't notice either distraction. For the great price we got the room for, it was well worth it. We enjoyed the cruise.:)

I posted this before. Great food. Fun vacation. One main hiccup and almost ruined our vacation--->our room.

1) extremely Hot. After 10 hours and numerous Mx visits, the room hit a temp that was less warm. Never really got cool.

2) noises at night. Banging. Probably the lido Buffett above us.

Our room was Aft of 9447. Starboard balcony. I give u the range because it seemed like forward of 9447, it was cool.

We still had a nice time. We still haven't heard back from Carnival or our travel agent. I guess they both know we are still Carnival fans.

We just returned from the Carnival Dream June 23, 2012 cruise. We always have a balcony and the higher on the ship the better. We were given a stateroom on the 9th floor mid ship and we were pleased until we spent the first night. Our room was under the pool area. Our sleep was impossible as there were people moving chairs and tables all night long. At mid night I thought It would stop because people would go to bed after the movie but not so. Then the staff doing their jobs moved every table and chair to mop under it. We complained but there were no other rooms to moved to and I know there were all the rooms on both sides of the ship from front elevators to mid elevators with the same problem. While the neighbors on each side of us were very quiet so they must have lots of insulation between us the ceiling must have none. So if you are going on the Dream stay away from the 9th floor mid ship!!!!!!!:(

Went thru a similar situation on the Glory several years ago and said never again would I book under the pool deck. Had to wind up using some ear plugs that guest services gave me and made it through the week. Still had a good time, but lesson learned.

Sorry you had a bad experience.

We are going on Conquest. Our cabins are above the casino. How bad should we expect the noise to be? Should we change our cabins?

I always carry around the "3M Classic Plus Earplugs" E.A.R

They work very nice. Cheap too.

We have to remember we are on a moving. mechanical, vessel that has been turned into a multi-thousand passenger hotel. There will be noise. Knowing that, take good quality earplugs.
