Pirates Sunset Glass Bottom Boat Excursion

I am traveling with my family on the EOS later this month and I am interested in this excursion. I do have two questions though....RC has this listed for $49.00 a ticket (adult) and $26.00 (child). Can I book this excursion off the ship and is it a lot cheaper? Also, they say the minimum age is 3. We will be traveling with a 2 1/2 year old and would love to be able to take hiim with us. Do they check id to make sure the child is of age? Or is it at the discretion of the parents? He is big for his age and I think he would love it. Thanks in advance.
