Question for the Baltimore Brides

Recommended Posts

When obtaining your marriage license do you have to go to a courthouse in the city of Baltimore or anywhere in Maryland? Also, does it have to be 30 days out or can it be further?

Thanks for your help!

I recently picked up my license.

You have to go to the city courthouse in Baltimore (100 North Calvert Street, Baltimore, MD). The license is not valid for the following 2 days but expires 6 months from that date.

Important Notes: You must have both person's SS#'s and $85 in CASH.

In Maryland, you need to get the marriage license in the same county where the wedding will take place. But Baltimore City and Baltimore County are not the same, so you'll need to confirm where you actually apply. I think they still offer the option of applying by mail if you are a non-resident.
