Veranda Spa Suites

Dear Fellow Cruisers,

My wife and I have a reservation for a Spa Suite on the Maasdam and we are wondering about the differences between a Spa Suite and a regular Veranda cabin. Is there much of a difference? The price premium was pretty small, but the description of a Spa Suite doesn't seem all that compelling. Are the Spa Suites good cabins to book?

Thank you.

I believe it was during the Apr 2011 dry dock that four BB cabins (101, 103, 118, 120) and four BA cabins (105, 107, 122, 124) were converted to BQ by adding a few amenities:

Spa Suites & Staterooms

Opt for the serenity of a new Spa Suite or Stateroom, featuring modern spa amenities such as yoga mats, an iPod® docking station, and a countertop water feature in-room. Also conveniently located near the Greenhouse Spa and Salon, where you may easily book spa treatments and salon services

If those amenities don't interest you, then I would suggest you switch to a B or BA, if they're cheaper.
