statement credit versus obc?

It sounds like you are talking about credit card points. A statement credit would be a credit to your credit card account. An OBC would mean points credited to on board spending on your cruise.

That is what it sounds like to me and better to use as statement credit.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is between a statement credit and an onboard credit. I need to cash in my points. Thanks

You get a better points/$$$ ratio using them as statement credit. And, if you use your Carnival MC for your S&S, double points again. Then, once you have enough, use them for a statement credit again. There is a time limit to use them though I don't know for sure what that is right now. I know you can look online on your MC account and click on redeem rewards and it will give you a breakdown on what you need to use when and on what you can use them. It took me a minute to figure it out, but it really is pretty simple once you put a bit of logic to it.

Good luck, and happy spending! ;)
