Norfolk Brit Posted July 20, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 20, 2012 Just received an email from FO - assume they have been pushed into doing this by the recent actions of P&O and Cunard: http://www.fredolsencruises.com/About-Cruising/Before-You-Cruise/Price-Pledge-TandCs/Price-Pledge-Terms-and-Conditions Suggest you read the T&Cs carefully before trampling each other in the rush to book:D; they are similar to Cunard and P&O's in that price matching does not apply to the last-minute deals, which are more inflexible in terms of booking conditions but are almost always the best deals. Cruising Nomads Posted July 20, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 20, 2012 Interesting reading Fred Olsens website that along with the Price Pledge that they are also extending the All Inclusive Packages but only for the first 100 new bookings. If guests book by 30th September 2012, for all cruise departures on, or after, 6th April 2013 and featured in its current ‘2013/14 Worldwide Cruises’ brochure (excluding the 2014 Balmoral and Black Watch ‘Grand Voyages’ and their sectors, and full-charter Boudicca cruise JMGD1321), they will automatically qualify for a free upgrade to an ‘all-inclusive’ drinks package, including beers, wine, spirits and soft drinks*. This excellent deal will be added to all applicable bookings retrospectively. Then when you read the terms and conditions it states, - Offer starts 20/07/12, applies to departures from 06/04/13 onwards, cannot be applied retrospectively, may be withdrawn at any time without prior notice and is planned to close 30/09/12. So which is it?
Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines Posted July 24, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 24, 2012 In response to your recent post, while through our terms and conditions we reserve the right not to apply the all inclusive deal retrospectively, we are doing so for all guests who have booked on relevant cruises so that they can also benefit from this great offer. All guests with applicable bookings have been written to to advise them of this. I hope this is of help.RegardsFOCL
worldfamoustravellers Posted July 30, 2012 #4 Share Posted July 30, 2012 Just wonder whether the Price Promise applies only if the cruise is booked at or near the brochure price?? In other words, are they effectively stopping Travel Agents from offering good discounts when booking??:confused: Enjoy your cruises. Cheers
