any feedback on Segulda, Lithuania?

I wondered if Segulda is worth visiting since I understand Klaipeda has little of interest. As usual my family would like to go on our own if we go. Has anyone done this? If so what form of transportation did you use? Any feedback would be appreciated.

How about the Baroque Rundale palace as a day trip out of Riga?
