Morgans Posted July 26, 2012 #1 Share Posted July 26, 2012 Does anyone know if you can pay on the boat for the canal hoho boat or do I need to purchase a ticket in advance? Can't find the answer on their website. Marge
Ine Posted July 26, 2012 #2 Share Posted July 26, 2012 As far as I know there are a few spots where you can pay, but I am not sure if it can be done on the boat. Known places for this are a.o. in their office opposite centraal Station, near Rijksmuseum and Leidseplein. If you buy on-line you get 10% discount. http://www.canal.nl/bus/nl/ It seems the english version isnot working. To be sure, why not send them an e-mail:http://www.canal.nl/groepsarrangementen/nl/contact
garlictown Posted July 26, 2012 #3 Share Posted July 26, 2012 Last year we took the train from Rotterdam to Amsterdam and the canal tour "Hop On Hop Off" was a few steps away from the train station so we jumped on that to begin our sight-seeing. We did not purchase tickets ahead of time. Hope this helps you out a little....... :D

Morgans Posted July 27, 2012 Author #5 Share Posted July 27, 2012 Thanks to all but I wanted to jump on a few stops after the one by the train station so I wondered if I could pay on the boat instead of having to buy a ticket first....
