Leave port early?

I am not saying it never, ever happens but it hardly ever happens and has not happened to my knowledge. I suppose if there was a terror threat it might happen but I would not worry about it at all.

We're contemplating booking own excursions - -$$ I've seen the advice make sure you're back on time.

Do the ships ever leave port early??

Shipsa can leave early due to a variety of reason including impending bad weather where you are, impending bad weather along the ships route that the captain wants to miss, etc.

On the Triumph last August, we left Grand Cayman 2 or 3 hours early due to a hurrican that was moving in their direction. The port officials told all the ships that the port was closing at a certain time and they all had to be gone by them.
