TheBeachBears Posted May 13, 2005 #1 Share Posted May 13, 2005 DH and I were talking about our cruise in Dec on Jewel and I mentioned to him that we have an interior with a Pullman for our 6 yo DD. He decided that he didn't want DD in the pullman over our heads in case of nighttime potty needs etc. So he has decided we could upgrade to a D1 balcony, #1574. Only cost about $700 more but he says I am worth it. Called my TA who says, good for you, you will be much happier with the increased space. This will be my first balcony ever (but probably not my last). Now if only the upgrade fairy would give me a JS, I'd be all set LOL. Veronica Cant wait til we sail on the Jewel 12/11/

Travelgrrl Posted May 13, 2005 #7 Share Posted May 13, 2005 Just out of curiousity, is the configuration of the balcony cabins different (ie your 6 year old will be on a pullout couch?) Otherwise, will you still have a concern about the nighttime potty visits (if he's in a bunk anyway)? (Though of course how lovely to have a balcony and what a nice husband!) Arizona Cruz Chic Posted May 14, 2005 #8 Share Posted May 14, 2005 Awwww...how sweet! But I have to say my DH is about the best hubby in the world, he treats me like a queen.....38 years worth! Hope he knows what he's doing by getting that balcony...."Once a blacony, always a balcony!" :D :D You're going to love the blacony. ENJOY!!! ;) ***

TheBeachBears Posted May 14, 2005 Author #10 Share Posted May 14, 2005 Just out of curiousity, is the configuration of the balcony cabins different (ie your 6 year old will be on a pullout couch?) Otherwise, will you still have a concern about the nighttime potty visits (if he's in a bunk anyway)? (Though of course how lovely to have a balcony and what a nice husband!) 1574 has a sofa bed instead of the pullman. This also works out if DD wants to sleep with me and DH can sleep on the sofa bed. Wait.......I probably shouldn't do that since he just let me have the balcony!!! LOL. I guess he can sleep on the balcony if he wants-I just might!!!! Now I really need to know about the magnets for the balcony doors and need to get a bungee cord. Back to the tips and tricks post for me. Thanks everyone. PS to Monte-Thanks but one hubby is plenty.
