Sailing on Wonder-question about port of San Diego

I bought tickets to Seaworld online.

They were having a special.

We're going to take a cab to Seaworld.

 

I was told, by people from San Diego on our cruise, that it would be about 20.00 each way.

 

The cruise excursion was higher and you had to go on their time schedule. I figure this way, we'll go when we're ready and come back to the ship when we get tired.

Hello, it is probably about $20 if you take a cab from the Cruise Ship Terminal to SeaWorld. However, there are some inexpensive public transportation options. I found this route posted on an earlier Cruise Critic posting similar to your's. It is much cheaper than a cab, but you have to remember that you might be tired and this does involve some walking and waiting around for trolleys and buses. Here is the route information:

TRIP PLAN OPTION 1 of 2

FROM: BROADWAY PIER

TO: SEA WORLD

 

1. walk 0.2 mile E from BROADWAY PIER to SANTA FE DEPOT TROLLEY STATION

 

2. Take the BLUE LINE TROLLEY signed BLUE OLD TOWN

 

3. Get off the stop at OLD TOWN TRANSIT CENTER.

 

4. Take the MTS BUS route 9 SEA WORLD/PB/MSSN BCH/OLD TOWN

 

5. Get off the stop at SEA WORLD.

 

6. Walk 0.1 mile NW to SEA WORLD

Bus route 9

Fare Information

Regular Fare: $ 4.00

Senior & Disabled Fare: $ 2.00

Total Trip Time = 0 hr. 38 min.
