ahsmom3x Posted August 3, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 3, 2012 Does anyone know if it's easy to get from the port in San Diego to Sea World? What inexpensive travel options do we have at the pier? Thanks!
FoghornLeghorn Posted August 4, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2012 I bought tickets to Seaworld online. They were having a special. We're going to take a cab to Seaworld. I was told, by people from San Diego on our cruise, that it would be about 20.00 each way. The cruise excursion was higher and you had to go on their time schedule. I figure this way, we'll go when we're ready and come back to the ship when we get tired.
Melicone Posted August 4, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 4, 2012 Hello, it is probably about $20 if you take a cab from the Cruise Ship Terminal to SeaWorld. However, there are some inexpensive public transportation options. I found this route posted on an earlier Cruise Critic posting similar to your's. It is much cheaper than a cab, but you have to remember that you might be tired and this does involve some walking and waiting around for trolleys and buses. Here is the route information: TRIP PLAN OPTION 1 of 2 FROM: BROADWAY PIER TO: SEA WORLD 1. walk 0.2 mile E from BROADWAY PIER to SANTA FE DEPOT TROLLEY STATION 2. Take the BLUE LINE TROLLEY signed BLUE OLD TOWN 3. Get off the stop at OLD TOWN TRANSIT CENTER. 4. Take the MTS BUS route 9 SEA WORLD/PB/MSSN BCH/OLD TOWN 5. Get off the stop at SEA WORLD. 6. Walk 0.1 mile NW to SEA WORLD Bus route 9 Fare Information Regular Fare: $ 4.00 Senior & Disabled Fare: $ 2.00 Total Trip Time = 0 hr. 38 min. TRIP PLAN OPTION 2 of 2 FROM: BROADWAY PIER TO: SEA WORLD 1. Walk 0.2 mile E from BROADWAY PIER to SANTA FE DEPOT TROLLEY STATION 2. Take the BLUE LINE TROLLEY signed BLUE OLD TOWN 3. chipq Posted August 5, 2012 #5 Share Posted August 5, 2012 There will be taxis waiting when the ship arrives and is a fairly quick trip to Seaworld. Depending on time of year it should open at either 9:00 or 10:00. Have a good time. http://luv2cruise.blogspot.com
Momofmandm Posted August 11, 2012 #6 Share Posted August 11, 2012 A tip for Seaworld during the fall. The show schedule is usually less frequent so make sure you look online and plan your day accordingly. my kids and I love Pets Rule.
