Tampa Embassy Suites Platt St Bridge?

Can anyone tell me if the bridge work on the Platt Street bridge has been completed? I've read that once the bridge work is complete we should be able to walk from the downtown convention center Embassy Suites over to Publix without any issues.

 

Tampa is new to us so we are looking for a place to buy supplies. Any suggestions for must try resturants in that area as well?

Its done. As a matter of fact, around Tampa right now, the bridge is most commonly referred to because it will be up for the entire length of the Republican National Convention at the end of August. The Publix is a great stop for people staying at the Embassy Suites or Marriott Waterside.
