Tour Suggestions - NOT stingrays

Hi - My husband, 2 kids (13 and 9) and I are visiting Grand Cayman soon. The kids are very much against going to see the Stingrays. The turtle farm just looks ok - thinking my oldest wouldn't be interested.

Any suggested tours or excursions that are not stingray related?

Thoughts on renting a car and going to hell and back (couldn't resist :D) and stopping at the beach?

Any beach excursions that include lunch that you could recommend?

Thanks - I appreciate any suggestions/recommendations!

If you're just going to Seven Mile Beach (the closest beach) and Hell, a taxi or bus is going to be easier than renting a car.

Your kids are likely to be bored at Hell. It's just a cheesy photo op and post office.

If your kids skateboard, there's a world class park just on the outskirts of town in the opposite direction from Hell.

There are also many other water activities like jet ski, kayak, glass-bottomed boat tours, etc.

The above forums mentioned jet ski, kayak, can you suggest where we

would be a good place for that because that is what my kids like

Thanks for any input

Jet ski rentals are all up and down Seven Mile Beach at most of the watersports rental locations. A number of excursions also use jet skis to get to Stingray City.

I'm not sure if those same rental places also rent kayaks, but there's a few private excursion companies that do kayak tours:

HI, thanks for your suggestion.

do you have any suggestion for a jet ski or waverunner excursion from

around cruise termianl to Sting Ray City. We have a family memer that

gets sick on catamaran, but for some reason can go on jet ski with

no problem. Most of the Sting Ray tours I saw involve catamaran

thanks so much

The most I can suggest is to check out some of the other threads in this forum, check out review sites like TripAdvisor, look at the excursions offered via your cruise ship, etc. We have our own boat, so we don't use tour operators while in Cayman.

Try EBanks Watersports in Grand Cayman. We were on a cruise this past June and did a waverunner tour with them. It was awesome. We did not want to do any Stingray tour and this one was perfect. My husband and I both had our own jetski (we could have used just one if we wanted to save some money) and we went to two different snorkel sites. We had a blast.
