Ocho Rios Jamaican Barbie Vendors

I've read on another board that some vendors sell Barbies in traditional Jamaican costumes and that some of these dolls are sold unboxed.

Does anyone know if the vendors/shopkeepers selling these are the same people who actually sew these together (like a family enterprise) or are the vendors and makers entirely separate? If the same families make them, I'd be tempted to bring along a couple of stripped-down Barbies as trade-in credit on my next cruise.
