Cannes tender pier

We can try. If you pull up a picture of Cannes (GoogleEarth works well) and you are looking from the sea into land you will see there is a large marina (small boats) located on the left side of the city. This is called the Vieux Port (old port). If you look at the lower part of that marina on its left side...that is where they have a tender pier which is adjacent to a large parking lot. It will take you about 25 min to walk to the train station which is located on the other side of town a few blocks inland.

If you want to be exact and are a navigator the location is at 43 32 49 88 North and 7 00 52 95 East :)

Thanks for that, found it now. Seems an easy walk to the train station as long as the tenders get working quickly

The walk is relatively easy, but keep in mind it is about a mile (or at least feels that long). Most of the walk is through the best part of town...until you get to the last few blocks near the train station (still safe...but not as nice).

One place to get detailed information and maps and photos is **************.com Tom is pretty meticulous, and if you're going to a port he has a guide for--you're in luck. He does have port guides for French Riviera, including Cannes.

I will try this again--toms port guides dot com. (no spaces between words) This is not advertising, it's completely free.

We agree that Tom does a great job with his port guides although he sometimes does not have al the detail needed by the novice DIYer. Tom works hard at keeping his guides up-to-date and does appreciate feedback. What Tom does not do is give a lot of detailed info for those who would rent a car (he tends to use public transit). I actually think his Kusadasi guide is better then nearly any guide book.
