Royal Clipper - Italy & Croatia/11 Days

We did this trip on The Royal Clipper from Venice to Rome in 2008. The itinerary you have is pretty much the same. We especially enjoyed Hvar and Kotor of the Adriatic ports. Corfu was also enjoyable; low key and very relaxing. Sicily was a real highlight too.

The ship is a pretty informal environment to cruise in. No big shows, no formal dress and not much is organised. However, your fellow cruisers will be interesting, experienced travellers and you will have some fascinating conversations.

A sailing ship is a very different experience and - winds permitting - utterly memorable. You can spend time on the bridge and chat with the officers as they go about their work. Sails are used wherever possible and sailaway to the sound of Vangelis's 1492 is a memorable experience - every time!

Enjoy!

Thanks for the reply - we've never been to the Dalmatian Coast so that's a big attraction for us. We're planning on a late August departure so we're wondering about weather, sights and such. We've been on the clipper ships before and find them a wonderful way to cruise though our experiences have been limited to the Caribbean.
