Wanting to go to the beach during our day in St Tropez. what is the best way to get from area ships dock to Pampellone beach and beach club area.

?

is there a bus, taxi or water taxi we could take to either a beach club in that area or public beach. In public beach areas can you rent chairs and umbrella?

You do not say when you will be there nor what your budget is.

The beach you mention is a few miles from St Tropez.

Varlib run the buses along that area and others, extending quite a distance, otherwise taxis, car rental.

Expect taxis to cost quite a bit, and buses to run late or not at all in high season. That route is famous for long traffic jams on busy days so an estimated travel time is not possible. Taxis may not give you a "fixed" price, but one calculated on both distance and the time the journey takes.

French public beaches usually have no facilities, it is why they are free of charge. If you expect nothing, anything, eg toilets will be a bonus. You will need to provide your own towels, sunshade etc.

If you decide to go it would help if you researched these clubs online to try to decide which you will visit. You need that info for transport anyway as the beach is a few miles long. Also because some are nudist, the majority are not. Some public beaches are nudist, some beach clubs are. Knowing which you prefer is a good start! At least a couple of dozen beach clubs, they vary in price depending on reputation and the time of year, also the day of the week. EG, on a peak summer weekend prices will be at their highest. Some are fabulously expensive, think oligarchs and mega yachts anchored off shore, (they arrive into the clubs by tender) bottles of Crystal being sprayed around. Others will be more "affordable" although I use that word loosely. Basically, if you expect your credit card to take a major hit that would be a good starting point, but a little online research would help you decide if you want it to take a stratospheric hit!

The local tourist offices might be worth contacting. You could try both St Tropez as you are travelling from and to there, and Ramatuelle as the beach is actually in the precinct of Ramatuelle.
