upgrade email

This morning I got an email from Carnival offering an upgrade from our inside cabin to an ocean view for only 70 bucks It's the first time I've ever been offered an upgrade in all these years so I called right away and was told they had no ocean view available ??? then why the email?? anyway has this ever happened to any of you??

It could have been a case of you "missing" the offer. If it was sent this morning, others may have replied ahead of you and scooped them up. Honestly, I don't know which sailing you're on, but $70 from inside to OV might not be a great deal. I wouldn't sweat it. Maybe they'll e-mail back with a better offer next time!!
