T.O.cruisers Posted August 16, 2012 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2012 We came across this tour company. They offer free walking tours in Barcelona for only a donation. We have reserved the Old City tour as it includes the Jewish Quarter which we are interested in seeing. I'm just looking for any comments if others have used this tour company. Agutaya Posted August 16, 2012 #2 Share Posted August 16, 2012 We did a private Runnerbean tour of the Gothic Quarter (Old City) last year. It was very well done. The tour guide had a microphone which she used in a few places where it would have been hard to hear her. She answered all our questions and gave recommendations for lunch afterwards. As it was a private tour we had a set price which turned out to be about 9-10 euros each, which could give you an idea of what a good donation would be. Below is a link to our Barcelona photos. The day time ones are of the tour. The night time photos are of the Magic Fountain in front of the art museum. It's a fun, free thing to see at night. http://community.webshots.com/slideshow/581833174jJeybW?mediaPosition=
dln929 Posted August 18, 2012 #3 Share Posted August 18, 2012 Yes, we did. There are currently two posts about Runnerbean walking tours. The one I replied to has fallen off the first page, which is probably why you didn't find it. No matter! Here it is. You'll have a wonderful tour with them. Tip them well; they're worth it and then some. http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=1658400
