We also got this call less than 2 weeks before sailing (for our upcoming cruise). Apparently Carnival has redone their insurance, and it is now less expensive, and they are trying to get everyone to buy it! The price offered was less than what we were initially offered when we booked over a year ago...but we already have insurance through another provider.

I got the call last month. First time for that to happen. They call yesterday to see if I was ready to book another one.I have 3 booked all ready and told them I wasn't going to cruise with Carnival anymore because of the changes and I feel the platinum are getting the shaft. I think they may be hurting a little
